The Dance Element offers classes from 18 months, up to adult. Our recreational programs enhance rhythm skills, coordination, musicality, self-esteem and a love for the art of dance! Dancers age 18 months-3 years are enrolled in the Intro to Dance program along with a parent, dancers age 2 and 3 years are enrolled into our Tumbling Tots, Tiny Tots Ballet and Tiny Tots Jazz programs while dancers age 4 and 5 years are enrolled in our Little Steps Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Kiddy Hop and Acro. Dancers 6 years and up can enroll in any of the many forms of dance we offer. Class length times are 30, 45 and 60 minutes, depending upon age. Students will have the opportunity to perform one routine per discipline at The Dance Element INC’s annual year-end recital held at the beautiful Milton Centre for the Arts.
This is a special program designed for dancers who wish to pursue an advanced level of training and train between 6 – 15 hours per week that range from age 6-18yrs. The mandatory classes for this program are: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Acro and stretch/technique. The dancers are placed into the teams according to technique level and age. Competitive dancers represent the studio at 3 – 5 different competitions throughout the year, as well as at many community events and all The Dance Element functions. Competitive dancers strive to achieve their goals, build confidence, and conduct themselves in a sportsman’s like manner at all times. Dancers try out for this award winning team during one of The Dance Element INC’s Competitive Auditions Dates.
Competitive Team Auditions
To become a competitive dancer at The Dance Element INC you first need to Audition. Dancers must be registered in one of our Audition Dates, please contact the office for Audition Dates and Times.
Our Part Time Competitive Program is specially designed for dancers wishing to be part of the exciting competitive world of dance while being introduced to multiple disciplines, choreographers and to be part of a team without having to commit to full time hours. Part Time competitors are dancers who wish to train at a higher level of commitment but will not exceed a total of 6 hours per week with a minimum of 3 hours a week. Ballet is not mandatory for this program. Dancers try out for this program at the TDE Competitive Audition Dates. This program provides students with well-rounded dance training that consists of Jazz, Tap, Acro, and Stretch / Technique with the option of Hip Hop and Ballet. Part-Time company members will take part in 3 local competitions per year. The Part Time company is open to all dancers aged 6 – 16 years.
